Hello, My name is Beth Rippl, and I am the proud Owner of Fresh Expressions LLC. I live in the Frozen Tundra of Wisconsin with my husband Carl. We have two grown children, Emily & Chaz, and a beautiful granddaughter, Taleeya. I have a fashion design background, love to sew and have been doing so since childhood.
I started my first company “My Crafts” in 1980. Since then I have been hooked on all sorts of arts and crafts. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to open a gift shop in Door County, Wisconsin. With life intervening that dream never transpired, until March 2014 when I came across some friends selling their bead shop (Glass Onion Beads) in downtown Appleton, Wisconsin. They wanted out and I wanted in, so a deal was struck. I bought the building and over the next 4 months Carl and I refurbished the interior. On July 15, 2014, Fresh Expressions was born! My dream, in Appleton rather than Door County.
The shop features many fun, unique and high quality one-of-a-kind items for Home Decor, Totes & Handbags, Displayable & Wearable Art, Jewelry & of course a Bead Shop, all at a fair price. We highlight family, friends and local artisans talents whenever possible. My sister Lisa “Fleur de Lisa” Lohman and my sister-in-law Sue “The Jewelsmith” Strebe make and supply most of the jewelry in the store. Our clay artists design and provide one-of-a-kind, functional, pieces of art that anyone would be proud to use in the kitchen or display on a shelf. I up-cycle old wool and cashmere sweaters into wearable art such as mittens, hats, scarfs, fingerless gloves and flower pins. If we can’t find it local or made in the USA, we buy fair trade whenever possible.
I love my shop and look forward to meeting new customers every day. Stop in our brick and mortar shop at 1011 West College Avenue, Appleton, Wisconsin or enjoy shopping our online store (by clicking “Online Store” at the top of the page).
